Who we are
Diary Of An SEO Limited is the controller of your personal data. We're registered in England and Wales, company number 15354289, and our registered office address is listed on Companies House. Questions about your data: kira@diaryofanseo.com.
What we collect
- Enquiry forms: your name, email, website, the service and markets you're interested in, how you heard about us, your message and the page you sent it from.
- Call bookings: when you book through our Cal.com calendar, your name, email, the time you choose and any notes you add.
- WhatsApp and email: whatever you choose to send us, plus your phone number or email address.
- Website analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies: pages you visit, how you got here, your device and browser, approximate location, and how you scroll and click. Microsoft Clarity may record anonymised sessions, with form fields and personal details masked.
- Clients: contact and billing details, and the account access needed to do the work.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to your enquiry or run the call you booked: legitimate interests, or steps you asked for before a contract.
- To deliver our services and invoice you: contract.
- To keep records we're legally required to keep, such as accounts: legal obligation.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
We don't sell your data, and we won't add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers that help us run the business, under contracts that protect your data:
- Hostinger: website hosting. Form entries are stored in our WordPress database there.
- Cal.com: our booking calendar.
- Google: Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (only with your consent), and email.
- Microsoft: Microsoft Clarity analytics (only with your consent).
- Meta (WhatsApp): only if you choose to message us on WhatsApp.
- Our accountant and professional advisers, where needed.
International transfers
Some of these providers process data outside the UK, for example in the United States. Where that happens, transfers are covered by UK adequacy regulations (such as the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework) or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries and booking details: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Client and financial records: 6 years, as UK tax law requires.
- Analytics data: up to 14 months in Google Analytics; Clarity recordings for up to 30 days.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time, for example through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Email kira@diaryofanseo.com and we'll reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
